These lightweight insulation shorts are made for mountaineering and work great for general outdoor activities. It quickly compresses into a packable pocket on the thigh, making it super easy to bring along.
We use our aeroDownproof face fabric to provide windproofness, lightweight and soft touch, and our thermo6 synthetic insulation, which offers great warmth-to-weight values, good packability and will provide insulation even when wet.
The main face fabric is a windproof 2D recycled nylon ripstop fabric with PFC-free DWR treatment for additional water resistance.
The thermo6 insulation used is a 6g/m2 1% recycled polyester insulation which gives excellent thermal insulation to help the body maintain its temperature, hence minimizing energy loss.
Key features include: An elasticated waistband, front fly with zipper and snap button closure, and a zippered thigh pocket. With a full-zip solution, they can easily be put on and taken off without removing your shoes/pants, and the zippers on the side are coordinated.
The shorts have a technical fit yet fit both underneath or over pants or shorts. It has an above-knee cap length and a quilted front around the hip flexors to lock the insulation in place in this area and achieve natural folds.
