Who we’re looking for:

We're on a fast-paced trajectory and experiencing rapid growth, yet we've only scratched the surface of our full potential.  We are seeking an executive-level leader who possesses both strategic leadership skills and hands-on tactical expertise in marketing, customer experience and growth-hacking. 

As the Head of Growth, your role will be pivotal in introducing Out&Back to millions of people, both buyers and sellers alike. You'll spearhead our marketing strategies, oversee customer experience and test exploratory channels, all while optimizing a marketing budget in alignment with company objectives. You will manage a team, agency and marketing budget. Preferably you have previous startup experience with a track record of driving repeatable and scalable outcomes leading to massive growth in your previous roles. 

This role is based in Denver, CO and reports directly to the CEO.

Job responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a comprehensive growth marketing plan to achieve company revenue goals
  • Lead, develop and inspire a small, yet mighty team of growth marketers and agency partners
  • Analyze and optimize our current acquisition and retention strategies while testing new ones
  • Research competitors and talk to our customers to help inform your strategy
  • Own our customer acquisition and retention channels and content including but not limited to paid ads, display ads, email marketing, SEO, affiliate & influencer marketing, CTV and events
  • Work closely with engineering and operations to identify, test and roll out CX improvements
  • Accelerate the customer journey to the 'AHA' moment, minimize churn, and increase LTV
  • Work across stakeholders to make sure plans and projects are communicated effectively
  • Use data and analytics tools to measure and improve CAC, MRR, LTV and GM
  • Work cross-functionally to establish and enforce company customer service policies
  • Ensure compliance with company policies across web practices, user privacy policies, and relevant rules and regulations governing our business operations

Job qualifications:

  • Leadership experience in a growth marketing role
  • Direct leadership experience with a venture-backed, early-stage startup (Series A or earlier)
  • BA/BS in marketing or related field
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience building, leading and scaling marketing strategies; extensive digital marketing experience is required
  • Project management skills, detail oriented and well organized 
  • Advanced user of analytics and visualization tools - i.e. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, Mixpanel, MS Excel, etc.
  • Familiar with Shopify
  • Excellent communicator who can connect effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing a budget

Extra credit: 

  • Previous professional experience in a product management role
  • Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of SQL reporting tools and visualization platforms
  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and/or other design-based programs
